In November 2025, our team began a Business Performance Analytics Platform project for one of our clients to strengthen and centralize business reporting.

Project Overview

In November 2025, our team began a Business Performance Analytics Platform project for one of our clients to strengthen and centralize business reporting. At the time, insights were primarily derived from fragmented data sources and a complex database setup, making analysis time-consuming and limiting timely, end-to-end visibility.

The objective was clear: connect complex source data, model it efficiently, and deliver a transparent decision-ready dashboards for business reporting across regions, including the U.S. and Europe.

Initial Setup and Data & Business Understanding

The project started on 11 November 2025 with kickoff meetings to align timelines, responsibilities, and technical requirements. Together with the client’s team, we set up the data gateway and validated database connectivity.

The first days focused on understanding both the client’s data structure and core business processes, including exploratory data profiling, mapping business concepts to source tables, testing Power BI connections, and defining validation and refresh workflows.

Data Modeling and Initial Analytics

By 16 November, the core data model was designed and implemented, establishing a reliable foundation for analytics. In parallel, an easy-to-use data export tool with filtering capabilities was delivered, providing the company with immediate visibility into its data while the broader platform was still under development.

Between 17 and 27 November, several meetings with the client team — including stakeholders in Germany and the United States,  helped refine reporting requirements and shape the first dashboard concepts.

Business Performance Dashboards

In early December, the project progressed into dashboard delivery, translating integrated data into clear, business-ready insights. By 7 December, a multi-page dashboard covering Bookings and Billings was delivered, providing leadership with transparent visibility into revenue performance, billing flows, and financial trends.

Alongside financial reporting, a dedicated Customer Analysis section was developed to surface key customer metrics, behavioral patterns, and performance drivers. Follow-up sessions focused on refining insights, aligning visuals with executive expectations, and preparing dashboards for stakeholder presentations in the U.S. Regular reviews ensured clarity, confidence in the numbers, and alignment on key business questions and filters.

Refinement and Finalization

By mid-December, the data model evolved with new tables, columns, and transformation logic. The client’s feedback was continuously integrated, including updated country groupings, quota linking, and improved visuals. A troubleshooting table was added to maintain data quality over time.

Final dashboards were reviewed and enhanced throughout the holiday period, culminating in the final validation and U.S. presentation on 5 January 2026.

Training and Adoption

Following the project handover, training sessions were delivered to the sales team and key stakeholders to support adoption of the dashboards. These sessions focused on interpreting insights, using filters effectively, and embedding data-driven practices into day-to-day operations.

Results

The project delivered a fully functional BI reporting environment that unified multiple data sources into a single, trusted view. The client team can now access real-time insights across regions, track key business metrics with confidence, and support day-to-day decision-making through clear, executive-ready dashboards. The collaboration was efficient, solution-focused, and transparent, a process that balanced technical precision with practical business outcomes.
